The Five Vayus – Yoga movement principles, experienced in a thoughtful sequence of poses. $35 for one session $60 for both
Vayus are elemental forces of body and soul, located in similar regions to the chakras.“Vayu”, meaning
air and wind-like, these currents constitute all vital forces of the body-psyche. We come to know the Vayus through their dynamic qualities, as we are guided by the direction of their movement.
Part 1- Sat. Oct. 15th 11am- 1pm: Apana and Samana Vayus: standing poses & stabilizing the pelvis. By grounding and assimilating with a strong stable container, we prepare for new growth and transformative movement.
Part 2-Sun. Oct. 16th 12:30 – 2:30pm: Prana and Udana Vayus: backbends and opening the shoulders. Moving through the natural rhythm of the vayus, we now draw
our attention in and up to the chest and throat through backbends and upper body twists. Staying tethered to
the work of the previous day, and by gathering all forces together in unity, we can offer a full expression of body and soul, as experienced through Vyana Vayu.
